Hi @nicpom
Are you on PAYG or pay-monthly?
If you're on PAYG, then simply put your existing SIM into your new phone. It's the SIM that manages your number and subscription.
If you're on pay-monthly, then you now have 2 separate contracts. Changing your phone while keeping your existing subscription is called an upgrade, and you need to have bought your new phone as an upgrade in order to do this.
You have a few options in this instance:
1: Assuming you bought the new phone online or via telesales (i.e. not through a retail shop), then exercise your 14day returns policy to return the phone and then purchase it again as an upgrade.
2: If you bought the new phone from an EE retail store, then you have no such right of return and you will have to ask the store nicely, but being aware they are under no obligation to accept the return.
3: Once your existing phone is out of its minimum term, use the number porting process (using a PAC) to port it out to another provider. Wait a day or so, and then request your PAC from that (temporary) provider and port it back into EE, replacing your "new" number.
