Just been told by EE iPhone 13 pro max I had pre ordered is now on 14 day backlog as they don’t have enough to fulfill orders

Still nothing.................really considering cancelling the lot and leaving after 15 years being a customer, let's be honest there will be no compensation and there's nothing in the way of loyalty offers or discounts anymore anyway, aswell as them being useless.

Im sorry but guys yous really need to cut the customer service team some slack. Its an issue that is completely and utterly out of there hands and its unfortunate that we have to wait a bit of time to receive the devices but look folks times are tough.
Customer service i do believe have to go by a procedure with the company they are going by the company rules. Yes it is a bit of a pain having to wait but surely yous can all understand it is entirely out of the customer service/ support teams hands.
I really hope yous dont have to wait much longer for the phones but i just wanted to express my thoughts on yes times are tough at the minute but please show some compassion as the workers are doing their best and they cant also give out discounts to everyone for the inconvenience.

I agree that it's not the fault of the customer service operators as individuals, but when you're promised a lead time that they don't adhear too on multiple occasions and that's the reason you've stayed with the network and upgraded it's a bit.....toss.
EE is one of the most if not the most expensive network and the customer service (as a compam) along with the app being near useless 99% of the time isn't something we should be putting up with as paying customers, as I mentioned previously there seems to be no incentives for being a 15 year customer etc anymore and I just think the network has gone a bit...well....toss.
Also if I were to order the iPhone today I bet it'd give me a false lead time and no-one will contact with a realistic one, EE are very quick to call if you miss a payment but if you there's no contact about their mess ups, if you want to chase anything you're looking at a painfully long automated call and passed from pillar to post.
So yes don't blame the individual call centre staff but EE as a company are 100% at fault.

I’m waiting 6 weeks now and still no clue when I get my new iPhone it’s a disgrace

@Asa_nophone I don’t want to be funny here but whilst I agree with your sentiment, EE was founded in 2010 as a joint venture between Deutsche Telecom and Orange (France Telecom) so don’t try to make a point by saying you don’t get incentives despite being a customer for 15yrs. At least be honest.
Anyway, most providers are nowadays rubbish and don’t care about customer service, especially since most outsourced it to India and they do the best they can.
And even if you cancel, you won’t get the iPhone anywhere right now. In fact due to chip shortages everything is delayed. In fact I am waiting for several items for weeks now and all have been delayed until at least November, including a Samsung tablet for the wife, an iPad mini, the iPhone, SSD upgrade for my PS5 and other bits I ordered. Same deal. Ordered all between August and September and no delivery in sight.
Besides, your upgrade won’t start until you get the phone so you can just cancel. EE doesn’t care if you threaten them with it. Just like in jobs. Don’t threaten you leave. Just do so.

I was previously with orange so that's what I meant by 15years, and it's probably longer to be honest, as apposed to a liar 🤣
EE are meant to care about losing customers that's why the spend millions on retentions.
I get that my upgrade date is only active from when I receive my phone but its edging closer towards my contact end date, which means my buy out/contract termination fee will be cheaper and cheaper by the day......which is becoming an increasingly attractive option.
Whilst I understand there's a shortage my point and everyone else's here is that we were sold something on a false lead time, regardless of who's at fault we are the customer and we've bought in to something because of false advertising.

I’ve been told that they can’t get the chip out of china in high quality as this chip is also in the new Xbox and ps5 which is the root of this problem for us all…
At the very least EE should be giving us regular update with our order that’s been made, and a pair of free AirPods as compensation 😂🤦🏽♂️

I also orderd the the 13 pro max on the 1st of Dec was told it would be delivered 2 working day nothing came tracking never moved I then had enough and called to be told that the person who took the order shouldn't have put it through so I would get a refund I them waited another 5 days but no refund then called again to be told that I can have the phone and the order shouldn't of been cancelled and now on the back log I have to wait it's all so confusing we need more transparency I've paid the deposit and not got the service I am a Samsung user moving to iphone and thought EE was the best at what they do but not got a good start I hope things get better hope to see my phone before Christmas cause in today's life style a phone is a must have and my old one.is on it's last legs lol happy Christmas all

Defo agree with the compensation side of things as they are taking payments and not playing there part in being honest that's the way I feel as a new member to EE I don't even know when to expect my phone now and when I signed up it said in stock and a 2 day delivery which I thought great and I need the phone asap as my phone's on it's last legs but a free 🐝 would make it seem a bit better lol
