Could I have the latest info on whether I can use an ee phone 4g sim in an EE mini wifi router without restrictions or my sim being deactivated. I am just about to upgrade and would like to use the 200Gb data allowance.

Yes, you may use any SIM in any device. EE can't restrict you

Hi @WrenWatch ,
EE permits SIM usage in a 4G router but a few networks do not: https://kenstechtips.com/index.php/unlimited-data
The restrictions are that you are only permitted to hotspot or tether a certain number of devices (e.g. 12), and you must keep within the fair usage limit (something between 500 GB and 600 GB per month, which can be checked in the terms and conditions).

No network may prevent the use of any of its SIMs in a mobile router, by Net Neutrality rules but as @mikeliuk points out they may impose device-independent FUP rules on their use.

Thanks for both the updates. I will be limiting my device usage to, at most, 3 devices and I doubt I will need more than 200Gb.
