iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

Just to give a bit of hope to everybody, I just received a notification through my DPD app, that my delivery will be tomorrow, I order the Pro in pacific blue 256gb, and my expected date was 02-07 of november, so there is hope for everybody

To give everyone a bit of information, my 12 pro arrived today. If you have more than one line, check the others for a DPD message as mine didn’t come to my number, it went to my sisters and as it’s her birthday she thought her present was on its way and I was like it’s my new phone hun. It’s probably the best unboxing experience I’ve ever had seeing it at the top of the box! Best of luck everyone

That's good news! When did you pre-order? I ordered the exact same iPhone (Pro 256GB Blue) on the 17th Oct and my expected date is currently 30 Oct - 02 Nov 🙄

I finally got an update today. 

I got a notification from DPD before anything else telling me that I will receive my EE package tomorrow and to book a time slot, the EE tracker originally told me to expect my phone from the 30th to the 2nd, so I’m happy I’m actually getting it earlier than that. 

Side note; the EE tracker now tells me that it was dispatched on the 22nd ?¿

I ordered a 512gb Pro in Pacific Blue at 1.20 pm on Friday 16th October, pre-order day. Ordered online. Got confirmation text on the Tuesday. Have finally had email from EE saying it’s coming today, Thursday 29th. But the tracking from EE still says expected delivery is 30th Oct till 2nd Nov. I would say don’t take too much notice of the tracking info, it’s always been good up until now (been with T-Mobile/EE since 2006) but then I’ve never pre ordered a new phone before. My last iPhone was the Xr and I had no idea when that was released but I just so happened to upgrade the day after release and got it the very next day. Don’t think that phone was too popular, either that or it was just better organised two years ago. 

Hope everyone else hears from dpd soon with their delivery details. And hope we all love our phones once they eventually arrive. I’m sure we will think it was worth the (long) wait!

Mine gets delivered tomorrow too. I ordered the pro in silver. ee website says it’s still awaiting confirmation but I’ve picked my time slot on the DPD app

I ordered my 12 pro (256gb) in blue on the 21st as when I called on the 16th I was told I would need to pay an upgrade fee of £83 as I couldn’t upgrade for free until the 21st (even though the phone wouldn’t be available until after this date). 

mon the 21st I was told I would receive my new phone on the Saturday after release date (24th). As of now my order on the link provided on the original confirmation text says ‘awaiting confirmation’ 

Bit annoyed that they basically lied to me with delivery date, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere/looked for a phone that could be delivered earlier. 

hopeful to get an update soon. Where people are getting DPD slots, are these texts/emails direct from DPD and not EE?

I've just had a notification on the DPD app that my EE parcel will be delivered tomorrow. I've also had a barrage of upgrade messages from EE activating my new plan. EE delivery page still says delivery 02-07 Nov, so I guess the DPD app is the way to go. Ordered a pro in blue 256GB on Monday 19th.

I was told in email from EE that my

phone was to be expected on 23rd, waited in all day - no phone. Spoke to someone on EE chat who assured me it would be Monday 26th. Told them I was away in Derby and asked that they redirect which I was assured they had. Waited in at house in Derby and no phone all day. Spoke to someone else on EE chat who told me it would actually be Thursday 29th - checked with him that the address was right - but it had not been changed from home address so got that amended AGAIN!! Sat here waiting but no DPD text etc so I’m not overly hopeful that anyone has actually told me the truth!! Am livid as I nearly ordered phone through Apple a couple of weeks ago - who would have sent it on 23rd but stupidly I thought I’d direct my business to my service provider!! Wasted one day at home and two days of holiday waiting around and wasting my time!!!!!!!
