iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

My EE order for iPhone 12 Pro 512GB Pacific Blue estimated delivery 30th-2nd November and just received a message from EE - It will be delivered tomorrow and I got to select a time free of charge!

I don't understand how people are getting dates. I ordered on the 18th and can't even track mine. Yesterday they supposedly had no stock so how are people getting theirs tomorrow. I so annoyed how this has been handled. I have launched a complaint for what good that will do. I'm seriously considering going to trading standards. They have not delivered the service I paid. Everyone you speak to gives you a different answer. It's a bloody joke.

Trading standards 😂 get a grip man what could they do they would laugh at you it's a mobile phone FFS, I'm in the same boat as you and while it's annoying and disappointing coming out with stuff like this is childish

It's not childish at all. It's a breach of contract. They have not given me what I have paid for. By the way I'm not a man. Got nothing constructive to say or nice to say don't say anything 😡

😂spoilt brat.

What are you talking about?

I’m in a similar boat to you, although I ordered mine on pre-order day (not 2 days later) and was promised delivery on 23rd - it’s delayed and won’t arrive for another week-or-so. I’m annoyed, yes, but it’s certainly not a breach of contract and - with respect - what did you expect? You ordered the new iPhone 2 days after launch.

A breach of contract is when one party breaks the terms of an agreement between two or more parties. This includes when an obligation that is stated in the contract is not completed on time

Also I did not order 2 days after launch I ordered on the 18th

I have a law degree, I’m perfectly aware of what a contract is, and what constitutes a breach. Not delivering your iPhone, when you ought to know that there is a reasonable chance of a delay, is not a breach of contract (unless you’ve paid for delivery on a certain day, which I’m sure EE do not offer).

Also, when I said ‘launch’ I did mean launch day as in pre-order day on 16th.

Launch day was the 16th...
