iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

 

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

 

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

 

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

@connorpowell @I think he was just rushing and didn’t check properly. I hope his day got better after that and as you say the other owner got theirs ok.

You're right, there's nout we can do about it, doesn't mean we're not agitated about what's happening. 

I'm most agitated about the fact I paid an "insurance fee" to ensure I'd be getting my device the day, and whoever done said payment through the phone really messed it up, and hadn't put it through properly & it comes up on their system as having no insurance (which is bs) 

I was actually debating cancelling my order, and paying the extra £100 for the pro max, now knowing you get a worse battery with the 12 Pro, but then I don't want the same ordeal again.

That's what they told me too this morning. Iv'e just called to be told they have run out and I'm half way down the list so could be Nov 1st. Yet the tracker says will be dispatched in 24 hours. I took the day off work to make sure I was here. I'm gutted.

A different manager is now telling me that we shouldn’t have been told it will be by Monday/Tuesday and all 14 day wait periods are from today’s date not backed to the order date

I have a transcript of someone telling me that mine will be here monday and im on some sort of priority list to make sure i get mine ASAP so if this becomes un-true then i have proof and they will need to do something about it 

 

How’d you manage to get that? If you don’t mind me asking

I also recorded my chat this morning with proof I was told I would get a tracking number by the end of the day. Nothing yet 😞

I wasn’t told anything, so I assume I’m not getting it for another 14 days but who knows

if you do the live chat at the end when you close out of it you get an option and the whole of the conversation gets sent to your email so i have physical proof that i have been promised mine for Monday.

Also, just a idea we all may be contacting different stores maybe so were all getting different info about different stores so some of the information may be clashing.

I was also told today that when you order online that it goes to another team at EE that then do the order so I ordered on the 18th and they only submitted my order on the 22nd so mine was pushed back because it took them 4 days to do their job.

I keep saying I dont mind the little bit of wait 2 weeks is taking the mick but a dew days longer isn't a problem the problem is i don't know where the order is and im being told a million different things.

 

if they havnt got the stock then its illegal to sell it so if you have them pre-ordered they must have the stock. im sure that dpd run over the weekend but EE say they dont

 

its just a mess
