Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!
Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.
Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.
What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I’m currently speaking to a customer rep getting evening updates on my order - just to recap the manager I spoke to said I WILL receive my DPD tracking number today so let’s see if that rings true

Very happy indeed with the pacific blue 256GB pro that was delivered about 10am this morning. Close call though, the DPD driver didn’t knock on the door and instead handed the package to my neighbour. He was very embarrassed when i came out to ask why he didn’t knock on the door. That was not the end of it though, he’d actually delivered me someone else’s silver iPhone 12, case and wireless charger which promptly led to me chasing him down the street to swap it for what i actually bought. Needless to say he’d been having a tough morning.
As for those ee staff saying nothing would be dispatched until Monday, dunno where that came from, as if that was ever going to be the case.

That was a close call! How did he manage that? I’m glad you received your device and I hope the silver one made its way to its new home

Im so annoyed about this. I ordered on Sunday. My email said I would receive on launch date TODAY queried this morning as had nothing to say it was coming. Was 1st told it would be 14 days then apologised for the wrong info. Then told to contact DPD. Unless you have a tracking number that’s useless. Then found on EE site that you can track it. It’s not even been dispatched 😡

So now a customer service rep is telling me it’s 14 days again; you couldn’t make this up

Essentially.
It’s quite annoying people constantly adding there individual issues though.
it’s clearly a widespread problem thats even on the news, the mirror paper an sun e t c.
If people who keep commenting actually took a second to scroll through some pages you’d see that bar a few, everyone’s experiencing the same thing.
Just end it bu saying a-lot of people won’t and didn’t get there phone today.
For those orders on backlog including mine, unless you cancel there is nothing else you can do apart from wait which will be up to two weeks.
