iPhone 12 and 12 Pro preorder thread

Saw that there was an XS/XS Max thread back in 2018 and fancied seeing if anyone would respond to a new one for the iPhone 12 preorders!

 

Ordered myself an 128GB iPhone 12 Pro in Pacific Blue, albeit it with minimal photos showing the new colour so I'm a little nervous as someone who's gone Silver for the past few years.

 

Order is currently sat at Order Confirmed, Awaiting Confirmation for the delivery date but I hope this evening (as per previous years) it changes to delivery for Friday.

 

What phones and experiences has everyone else had this year?

I absolutely agree,

People who waited to pre order on the launch day deserve the phone on the delivery date given. Especially when we are going to be tied into a contract paying £70 pm or whatever to EE.

I have my EE order status saying ‘Pre order confirmed’ and with expected delivery date showing as 23rd. But still no comm from DPD.. 

 

Anyone facing similar issue contacted CS?

It's an iPhone 12 pre ordering thread on a community forum, so people have the right to discuss how they see fit.

where are you seeing this I don't even have pre-order confirmed on my EE but I have an email to say its confirmed

they should be working all day to get as many out as possible not just one DPD delivery or a lot of people are not going to get theirs for longer than 2 weeks and clearly this first come first serve is not working so what says someone that buys one tomorrow will get theirs first. the first so many orders should be guaranteed first day delivery and people should be made a wear of this. They have done so many launches at this point they should be able to control this. 

Honestly its a let down especially when we pay so much at least give us some solid confirmation on something

Yes completely agree however!.... youre all kicking off when the bloody phones are not even out yet! If they don’t come tomorrow then I completely agree! Why can’t you all just wait and stop being impatient!!!!!!!!!!! Bloody hell as of life isn’t hard enough for everyone right now we have to all see you guys moan. Yeah it’s frustrating if we don’t get it but let’s just atleast wait untill tomorrow, 

 

I do agree with al of you though, I’m frustrated too and yeah EE should know this but it’s not going to help the situation is it, please let me know if you guys receive your phones tomorrow 🙂 good luck

how funny would this be if everyone just got them tomorrow and no one was getting notifications just because the systems was overworked 😂 

I Just get really anxious with this stuff i wouldnt be bothered if I had some sort of confirmation like if they said it wont be with you till Monday that's fine I just need that confirmation

to anyone complaining about the thread; i don’t care that people (including myself) are moaning.. I’m just glad the thread exists.. to know I’m not in this alone is reassuring as selfish as that may sound.

 

Customer Service during this has been minimal to none; the first rep I spoke to was incredibly helpful and told me I was going to receive it on launch day so I felt no reason to worry but now having booked a day to make sure I’m in for delivery to be told actually.. it will be up to 14 days is a little bit hard to hear.

 

to make matters worse; I have my order number that I have been using to track on the EE tracking (not DPD) that says it’s awaiting confirmation; but when I contacted EE on the chat service; they had a completely different 10 digit code for my order which doesn’t even work 🙄

 

they also told me not to use the EE tracker because it’s actually been made “redundant” and no longer shows accurate information.

 

so I can’t track there; I have two order numbers for the same order, misinformed over the phone and an initial error on the order that required I call them 5 days after I placed the order.

 

this will likely be the last time I ever pre order and taking out contracts with the company.

😇 anyways - I’m hopeful and when it eventually arrives.. I’ll let you all know

i also spoke to someone and they gave me a different tracking number also that didnt work...

have we actually came across people that have an EE tracker that has anything other than waiting confirmation
