Hi,

I would like to ask when the stocks for the iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB Graphite would be arriving as I was told that the stocks for this specification would be restocked this week and that I would get the phone by then. Thanking you in advance 😊

Hi, appreciate the heads up but my problem is not so much the lack of stock but the blatant dishonesty and lies from EE just to get me to upgrade and renew my contract.

The main purpose for upgrading now was my existing handset has been dropped and is dying fast from a cracked screen. Considering I had an upgrade due for months and the website and customer services leading me to believe there is stock, then stock will be arriving very soon it seemed like a sensible idea to go ahead and renew contract and upgrade.

This morning I am considering cancelling the renewal, staying on my existing arrangement and just replacing the handset with something else from somewhere else just for the sake of a working phone.

Hi @Daniel109,

Yea I get your frustration and I was frustrated with EE as well like someone would say it'll be in stock next week or something and next week arrives and it's not in stock then you call them again and they'll be like sorry the person gave your misinformation we are still out of stock.

Sorry to hear about your phone, does EE not do like protection for your handsets?

Hi @fvarghese99

It’s a very heavily used and old iPhone X that had AppleCare for a couple of years and then expired.

Considering the age of the phone and it gets heavily used for work and the average turn over of phones for me is around 1-2 years I’m not really fussed that I dropped it and need to replace. I dropped it accidentally. First smartphone I have killed from dropping and cracking screen. Since smartphones were a thing.

Looked at the cost of repairing but it’s not really a good option and with current events I wouldn’t have a phone for several days if not longer - not an option, I use the phone daily for work and it also doubles up as a replacement for lugging around a laptop. For me it’s an essential tool for the job.

From my perspective the website saying it was in-stock and the fact iPhones usually launch around October I didn’t foresee this going rather wrong. In the past I’ve just upgraded or purchased when I needed to and the phone turns up within 48 hours.

I’m not really a “fan boy” or “fanatic” so to speak. It’s just iPhones usually fit my workflow and looking at the range and features on offer this model fitted my requirements at the time.

Everything about this year's iPhone went wrong not the phone aspects the phones great but making of the phone as Apple didn't have enough raw materials for the new 12's therefore the manufacturing was delayed and with covid and everything was also a factor and I think now BREXIT is another factor as well. It was a bad year to buy an iPhone from a network provider. If you want just the phone you can buy it directly from apple has they've had it for weeks now.

If anyone has ordered an iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB variant here's a timeframe for when to expect your new iPhone. So I ordered my phone on the 22nd of December and I received my phone on the 16th of February. That is 56 days or a month and 26 days. Yours can arrive early or late.

Mine took 74 days. I think the colour and storage are the key factors. Gold and blue are the best sellers.

Thanks @fvarghese99, With all the conflicting messages I was getting from EE it really was a rollercoaster of emotions lol and I just couldn't wait any longer. The Xs Max 512GB that I am now using is pretty decent considering being 2 years old!

Now looking forward to the iPhone 13. Not only 120Hz display it's also rumoured to get a small notch, touch ID and lots more so excited about that.

@Daniel109 100% understand your frustration, felt exactly the same. Hope you get your phone sorted soon.
