Hi,
I buy a second-hand google pixel4 device from XianYu web-site. I need unlock the device to test my new network. But I'm in China now and can't call to your customer service. Could you please help to unlock the phone?
[OEM unlocking] item is gray and disabled.
Do you need any other information?

To unlock a 2nd-hand phone you need to call Customer Services on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4) to put you in touch with the Unlocking Team to request an Unlock Code. You will be asked for your email addy. They will take payment (of £8.99) from any valid UK bank card.
Once the process has been started you will receive an email from the Unlocking Team to process the unlock. It can take up to 10 days to complete the unlock.
But even so beware that EE could still refuse to unlock it. Many phones sold 2nd-hand have been reported lost or stolen, have been sold by the original owner when under 6 months old without EE's permission or have money owing on them.
If that is the case your only remedy is against whoever you got the phone from.

Hi @fff3
That wouldn't normally be unlocked even if the phone was unlocked to use any SIM by EE because it's firmware specific. You would need to flash the generic Google firmware for the Pixel 4.
I also sure UK devices come with non unlockable bootloaders, although this can sometimes be done via the manufacturer website.
You could try looking on XDA for a workaround.
Thanks

Hi @Northerner
Thank you very much for your reply.
In fact, I do want to unlock bootloader for flash firmware image. I have the firmware ready,it blocked by OEM locked. 😭
I find the carrier says "unlock all Google Pixel devices ", but my 2nd pixel4 unavailable. I do't know the reason.
And there is no solution on XDA for this problem. Is there any other way can be try?
Thanks again.

I can only give you half a way as you don't possess the necessary wherewithal. Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. over Skype. It should be free.
