I have just purchased an additional line sim card for my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Is this the same thing as an eSim or did I need to buy something different?
The website is not very clear if I get a QR code for this sim card or not to register it as an eSim.

@darrenh83 That has nothing to do with an eSim. You’ve just taken out a new contract on your account. If you don’t want this you’ll have to call customer services to inform them you want to cancel it. You have 14 days to go this if you don’t do it in this time the contract is yours until completion.
If you want to use the eSim of your phone you can do this via the my EE app and go to Settings>Device & Sim>Replace My Sim. Choose your number and then select eSim.
