I have 2 mobile phones one is my personal one and one is a work phone that I am trialing. What I want to know is is it possible to have an eSIM and a Physical sim active for the same number.
I don't want to have to swap the SIM card out of my personal phone when I need to do something on the work phone for the trial. So I wanted to have a physical sim in one phone and an eSIM in the other. This way I could easily swap between devices when/if I need to.
I am guessing that the answer to this question is probably no and that I am going to have to swap the SIM card between the 2 phones.

@LisaBlank No you can not have one number across 2 sims even if one is an eSim.

If your phone is Dual SIM and supports a combination of SIM and eSim then yes
Edit: just read it again, yes but not for the same number each number can be eSim or normal but not both.
Basically a Dual SIM phone will support 2 SIMs and 2 Numbers, a Dual SIM phone that's supports eSim will support 2 normal SIM and 1 or up to 2 eSims (model dependent) in any combination up to 2 Numbers
