Nano sim card for iphone 12

Evening, I have just joined EE and have purchased an iphone 12. I have come home to set it up and it looks like it takes a nano sim card, is this right? and if so, how do I turn the sim card into that? Thank you!

New sim

Hey,I have a PAYG sim currently, however I purchased a new phone and of course needed a new sim as the phone required a nano sim. Is there any way I can keep my current number and use the new sim card?
