When to port?

Hi - This is probably a stupid question, but would feel better with some reassurance.

If I take out a new EE contract, do I have to provide the PAC (from my old network) before I purchase the EE contract?

Or can I buy a new EE contract, and then in a few days time start the process of moving my number?

Thanks,

Lewys

Hi @Lewys

You can PAC over at any time, before or after, but I assume you are moving from another network to EE?  In my opinion you should PAC over after you get your SIM and you're happy that EE is the place to be. I'm sure it will be, but if you PAC in at the start, and want to cancel within 14 days (assuming you don't buy in store) it's a lot more faff. So get your new SIM, check out EE then PAC your number over.

Any questions though, let us know!

That's great thank you. I hadn't really thought about the cancellation period. So that's some good advice. 🙂
