Hi. Over a week ago I've seen offer for unlimited data on My EE app for additional £10/pm so I decided to go for it. Few days ago new bill became available to view and I've noticed that I've been charged £20 for unlimited data. Why?

@OwlStoker You’ll need to call customer services about this.

Same thing has happened to my bill this month, did you get a resolution?

Thanks for coming to the community.
When did the add the data add-on?
Do you have two charges showing, or one?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Hi @dominicjohn27 ,
When I queried something similar using online chat, I was informed of the below. To the extent that this is not immediately clear from the information presented to customers, although might be evident from a closer reading of the terms and conditions, you may wish to confirm the same using online chat.
I can imagine that for some customers who might not be expecting this, their bank account could become overdrawn if the amount which is doubled is much higher than GBP 10.
I just checked all the details and would like to inform you that the actual cost for the unlimited data plan is £10. Since this amount is a recurring monthly charge and is an add-on, so we charge this in advance. So for this month £10+ £10 [has] been charged and from next month [onwards,] only £10 will be charged.
