Can't pay for first Pay As You Go bill

Goatbutt

I seem to be caught in a paradox, I'm trying to pay for my first pay as you go installment on a new SIM, which means I need to register my mobile, but that requires EE to send a text to me, how do I recieve texts without the SIM being connected to a network? The SIM is installed and the phone recognizes it but it has no signal. What do?

Ah you're right it's my phone that's the problem, not the SIM, thanks.

@Goatbutt  The Sim card needs to activate try restarting the device a couple of times it can take up to 24 hours to activate.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Your problem is that you have no signal there, nowt else. So the SIM can't work anyway. You sure you have no signal? No signal strength bars showing? Have you checked the Network Status Checker there and reported your problem via that link?

You don't need to register to MyEE to use a PAYG SIM. PAYG SIMs are activated immediately they are used within UK. Try using Fast Top Up online with a UK bank card.
