I missed my bill payment this month which resulted in my account being restricted. My mistake! But they will not lift the restriction until I also pay next months bill which is not even due! As it stands the account is up to date and no payments outstanding. Am I missing something?

No, they want assurance that you can continue paying your bill as is their right.
