Evening, I have a EE 4g MIFI (dongle) that won't connect to AnyDesk/TeamViewer. I can use a hotspot to connect but not using the 'dongle'. Any thoughts/ideas?

Hi @Wally375
Thanks for coming here.
Do you get an error message when you try and connect?
Are you using a VPN?
Thanks 🙂
Leanne.

Hi Leanne,
AnyDesk is not connected to the server. Please check your internet connection.
As I’m typing whilst connected to the internet you can tell there’s something not happening. Only bought the thing to work from home using AnyDesk.

I can use my GiffGaff hotspot 100%

Hi @Wally375
Can you access the internet whilst connected to the WiFi on other devices?
Thanks 🙂

Hi @Wally375 ,
There's a good chance it's worth checking if your router is set to IPv6 dual stack (IPV4V6), and the fix may be to set IPv4-only if it is.
A search on this forum should provide guidance on either editing or adding an APN to accomplish this.
Contract SIM: Plan | Data | Usage | Check Status | Abroad | Chat | SMS | APN | PM
Wired: Check Speed | Test Socket | Faults | fast.com | speedtest.net
