Transferring old number to EE

Glawrie
Explorer

Hi,

I filled in the online form to transfer my old number from my virgin contract to my new EE contract about 7pm Thursday 10th September. It's now sunday 13th September and my number still hasn't been transferred. Do you know when it is likely to be transferred? I've tried filling in the form again but it doesn't recognise my pac code anymore even though it's valid until the 8th October. Thanks

It should be done by Mon. As it was so late in the evening your request counts as being made on Fri, Mon. is the next working day.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Thanks. That's  what I was hoping

I'm having this issue too!

Bought phone on Thursday afternoon, received new phone on Friday, still waiting for old number to port. Calls are from my old number but texts are being sent from the new number, it's SO frustrating!

@BeckySD It sounds very much like you have what's known as a "split port" where some elements of the process have completed, but not all.

If your number is porting across today, then this is perfectly normal until the end of the working day. Once a complete day has passed, and it's not completed, then I would recommend calling EE C/S on 150 to have your port-in checked over.

Thanks for the reply.

I bought the phone last Thursday, it was delivered on Friday so fully expected to wait until close of business on Monday for number to port however, its still not fully completed and yes, sounds like a split port.

I've been on to EE twice now, once through the chat and the second a phone call. Os there anything I can do to sort this myself?

I have also had an sms to say its been completed! New number still showing when I send texts

@BeckySD  Have you restarted the device?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Several times! [6 to be exact] 🤣

If you've had notification that the port has been completed, you've restarted your phone and still have issues, then EE C/S on 150 is your next move.

They will have access to your specific account and can do the necessary checks.
