MobiWire Pictor How to turn off predictive texting

I bought this for my elderly neighbour and the instructions are not very clear. Can she turn off predictive texts?

Hi @Daphne2

 

Could you try pressing/holding the # key? I read somewhere this may toggle it on/off.
