Transfer pocket landline number to alternative provider

I have a pocket landline with EE. I'd like to keep the telephone number but transfer it to a second home landline with another provider. Can this be done?

@aligregory  You’ll have to call customer services to see if this is possible. 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
