Tracking issues/no confirmation email

I ordered my new phone on 20/04/2020. I have the order number that was shown on screen 3 letters, 9 numbers but have received no confirmation email.
I've tried tracking it with that number but I just get a message saying information isn't available. When I ordered it said the phone was in stock (a samsung A20e).
I appreciate I may have been sent texts but I upgraded because my current phone has a broken screen and is now almost completely black so although messages can be received they can not be read.
How on earth do I find out what is happening and when my new phone will be delivered? (obviously lines are busy in the current situation so trying to avoid having to call if possible).

I’m having the same issue with my broadband order, not heard anything since initial email after my order,(16th) as you say, understand about what’s going on in the world but some kind of communication would help, broadband and phone go off on 29th?

Have you had any communication from DPD?
You'll get a text on the day your delivery is due.
If you're unable to track your order online, the best option would be to give us a call.

is now almost completely black making any communication unreadable.
I'll call, was just trying to avoid that given lines are likely to be busy
due to current situation. Thanks anyway.

I was having the same problem today, I ordered my new upgrade over the phone yesterday and the very helpful EE advisor confirmed my phone would be delivered today (I did pay for next day delivery). However, I haven't received a confirmation number so didn’t have a clue whether it was actually arriving or not today. I’m not sure if this will help in your circumstances but if you have access to any other device or are able to go online, I would suggest creating/registering an account with DPD or downloading their app - I’ve just done this (Make sure you use the same address and phone number you used with EE) and although I still haven’t received a confirmation email, the details of my delivery are there in the app and am pleased (and very excited) to say my new phone is arriving within the next hour!
