Whilst topping up with a saved card I am then asked for additional identification but doesn't tell me what our where to enter it.

How are you topping up?
It's normally your card provider which requires the additional verification.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.
