Sim question - Urgent

Hi, I need some advice, I am struggling to pay my pay mobile bill at the minute due to personal reasons, I have phoned EE customer service and I have explained my situation and I got told that since I can't pay at the minute, my services will get restricted soon, but I have been advised just to pay what I can, when I can and when the balance is fully cleared then my services will get active again so I am going to clear my debt very soon.

But the lady who I spoken to, she said I can buy a pay as you go sim with a different number until my account is cleared with the debt, does anyone know if this is true that a pay as you go sim will work in my monthly pay iphone 6s or have I been given wrong information? if this is true, does anyone have a link where I can buy a sim on EE website, I have looked but I am not sure if I am choosing the right one, it needs to be a different number as it won't work as it will link to my debt account, is that true?

Any advice would be great thank you.

@Gay_Guy546  If the device is part of the contract I’m sure the device is also blacklisted so you can not use it with a different sim.

if it’s a sim only contract you can get a PAYG sim from your local supermarket and use that and you’ll be able to use it once the sim is activated.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi, I made a post yesterday regarding sim but it seems the topic is closed and I can't reply so I creating a new post.

What it is, is that I posted about having problems with paying bill with struggling with money, but the good news is that I borrowed money of a friend to pay my bill which I paid yesterday on my promise to pay agreement which now I am not in debt, but before all of that, I requested a sim, but it's arrived today but I no longer need the sim because I cleared my balance on my monthly contract. Just wondering, what do I do with the sim now? will I still get charged for the sim even if I don't want it? as I didn't pay anything upfront for it, sorry, I don't know how all this works, any advice would be great thank you.

Regards

Shaun.

Hi @Gay_Guy546

Thanks for coming back to us 🙂

I have merged your post to your previous conversation for you and you can reply to this.

If you have received the pay as you go SIM card you can keep this as a spare you won't be charged for this unless you top up.

Come back to the community anytime 🙂
