Sim only

Hi, I’ve just ungraded to a new sim deal & I’ve kept my old phone, I’m on a new plan on my account but I had a new sim card come today with a different number, 
not sure if I need to put in the new sim card which is a different number or keep the same one in

Did you upgrade direct with EE?

 

Does two numbers show within your My EE?

Taking the "upgrade" terminology out of the equation for a moment, a change from one pay-monthly (handset-based) plan onto another SIM-only plan is just that. It doesn't, of itself, create any need for a new SIM unless there's a problem with your existing SIM and you need a new one.

 

If you've received a new SIM with a new number, it's possible that you've inadvertently taken out an additional line rather than "upgrading" your existing one.

 

You should be able to check this using your myEE online account as already suggested.
