Help please,I have recently joined EE as their network is so large,we are very rural and the broadband is rubbish so I went for a sim operated mini wifi router which is still slow, any suggestions as to how to speed this thing up its driving me nuts.

We only use the service indoors to give us broadband and so I can't comment on the service outside unfortunately

@nortonp  What is your phone like outside your property as this uses the same cellular signal as your router.   It’s possible your home is actually blocking the signal and you might need an external antenna.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
We don't use EE for the phone just the data sim for the internet in a EE70VB router

Hi @nortonp.

I'd recommend getting in touch with our Tech Care team about this.

They will be able to give you more information on coverage in your area, as well as run through further troubleshooting steps.

nortonp.. do you know how far away your nearest transmitter is?  I have a 4G Router, nearest transmitter is just under a mile away.  We get speeds of 70-100 Mbps which will hopefully show you what is possible.  I use a couple of stub LTE aerials on the back of the router which are adequate but you may need an external antenna fitted for best results.

Unfortunately we only have the very small mini router which has no facility for an antenna, wow 70-100 Mps that must be awesome.
