Sim not provisioned

I just received a new sim, as the customer service desk thought issues I was having might have been due to a fault sim. I have inserted the new sim, but I have a message saying 'sim not provisioned' and I can't use my phone to call out, message or for Internet use. How do you fix this?

Welcome to the EE community

 

Have you activated the new SIM? Either by using the online form here or by calling EE C/S from any working phone on 0800 0798586

The letter I received said as it was a replacement for a faulty sim, then all I had to do was insert it into my phone. I tried calling and was on hold for over half an hour.
