Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

@LukeAshley that is wonderful news! Please could you remind me when you ordered your phone and which colour you received?

For WhatsApp,  back up what is on your old phone using the WhatsApp settings. Then when you download WhatsApp onto your brand spanking new phone, make sure you restore the backup. All your messages will transfer in the background.  It will take a while but it will all load up.

 

Enjoy your phone. I'm very jealous!

Have you backed up your WhatsApp chats from within the app?

Hey, 

 

thanks ! Ordered on the 11th March, grey 128, called up two days ago and complained and they told me the black was in stock and would be delivered next day if I wanted to switch out... so I did and sure enough the black arrived ! 

actually think I prefer the black anyway 🙂

Backed up on my iPhone yes,

so presume I take the SIM card out and put it in the new phone, set the new phone up and re download WhatsApp and then hit restore ? 

do I need to delete WhatsApp from my old phone first ? 

how do all my contacts and apps sync - is there a special app I need to download as the Samsung didn’t come with the connectivity cable everyone’s talking about plug in iPhone to Samsung ? 

I have ask for upgrading. And colour I chose was grey which was not avialable for next day delivery .today I have checked website its say avialable for next day order but I m still having awaiting confirmation on my order.what to day .just wait

Yes, just move your SIM into your new phone and set it up.

Thanks got that. But the video shows it being done via cable ! 

it says wifi is capable but IOS on my phone has like 20 different smart switch apps

@Dave1458I been in contact with EE upgrades on chat and they say they still have no idea on when I will get the phone!! Bit disappointed with now that text is misleading 😭

My apologies, it looks like you can't transfer from iOS using WiFi.

 

You can however import from iCloud or iTunes.
