Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Yeah here's hoping and good luck to you too with the wait, fingers crossed for you and everyone else.

 

Seems weird how someone from Samsung said 20th of May, when everyone else on there side, including the CEO his/her self said "we have no control over distributors like EE stock so have no idea when and what they get"

 

Things like that, that made me give up on waiting.

 

On the flip side, I did get a better deal on a S20 Ultra 128GB because of it (in black, which I like more... Shame they don't do the blue in the Ultra model)... And also got a deal on a Galaxy Tab S6 128GB model with 6GB ram and Snapdragon 855, with S-pen... So gonna put all work stuff and media stuff on that with its 10.5 QHD screen and 4 AKG speakers...

Which will save space and storage on the Ultra and I'll get a better experience with them on the tablet.

 

Maybe something like that would be a better option for you @MissRoseGold

I totally agree! Nobody knows anything and I do not believe a word they say and take the information with a pinch of salt!

 

I think they have been clutching at straws and will say anything to close the call/chat.

 

I will give them until the end of the month and if nothing, I am waiting no longer.

Why we are advice to come in EE community when no one from EE crew answers our questions ?

What is this ???

is there any update on stock levels?

Yes, 512 GB stocks are expected on 1st-2nd week of this month.

will this include any to EE?

I'm afraid that we don't have information, since the data that we have here is for Samsung Online Shop only.

This will depend on when EE will get their stocks.

I shall check with EE, at least you have been able to provide some good news! I have been waiting since the 28th February

I'm sorry to hear about the long wait, but Samsung will surely get more stocks for 512GB after the Covid Situation.

UPDATE: I am on the phone to EE and now being told by EE management via the call handler that the 512BG is now not coming back to EE and it is only to be an exclusive to Samsung.......HOWEVER, they are allegedly working on fulfilling the pre orders????? and people have the option to wait or give up! basically 

 

FURTHER UPDATE (summary):

 

After being on the phone with EE for over an hour, I have the following information:

 

1) They (EE back office and managers) have (allegedly) had confirmation that pre orders are being fulfilled, (as by law they have too as it was ordered when it was "in stock".

 

2) EE will contact those who have pre orders by end of next week (latest....so they say) regarding the delivery of the 512GB handset and the ear buds.

 

3) EE will not (again allegedly) be selling the 512GB on it's website, it is now exclusive to Samsung.

 

4) Samsung website will be getting stock of the 512GB within the next 14 days.

@MissRoseGold well that sounds hopeful, finger crossed everyone still patiently waiting gets their order soon then.

 

Quick note for anyone who gets the Minute One bundle with there order, the case doesn't protect the big camera bump... Because it sticks out a few millimetres further then the case, so I recommend getting a better case.

@Leanne_T I received my returns packet yesterday but the little bubblewrap packet in it, is literally only big enough for the phone and nothing else...

The documentation says "fully charge the phone and factory reset it, then send the phone back on its own"?

 

So I don't have to send the box and charger back as well then?

 

Double checking as don't want to be charged for stuff I would of sent back.

@Staffie85  obviously it is best to double check, but normally they just want the handset back and not accessories.

 

I am also guessing the minute one bundle is not all that?
