Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Which handset was it that you recieved?? 512gb version??? Havent heard of anybody in here receiving 512gb yet???

 

I got my returns bag yesterday and have had no info on what's going on but I've been assured on here by an advisor that it's being extended from 2 weeks to a month on returns and everyone will be hearing about this shortly. Pretty good news as I ain't sending my phone when I havent recieved my new one. It's all a mess. 

 

I do understand all the issues going on just now and 1 thing I ain't is selfish. The country is a mess. But be honest with us. Tell us you scr@@ed up.... you made a mess of things and I'm sure you would get far more respect for it EE... 

 

I'm sure if anyone gets there ultra 512gb device all of us will be happy to hear from you guys. Genuinely.... so we know if things are moving.

They were 100% showing out of stock by the 18th of March.... are you really surprised...? People who pre ordered are probably a lot higher priority for EE than you right now..

Not really, I pre-ordered in shop a 512gb on the 15th of February and never heard anything until I called 150. Now, it's back to square one: more waiting with no information.

@j392116 message EE through twitter explaining your situation and tell them you would like to open a complaint case, they seem to be able to sort things out pretty much straight away once you get the call back for the complaint case

It's unusual. Waiting on my S20 Ultra in Grey. Samsung UK has stock, seems the Black is in stock with EE now but not the Grey. However the Grey shows 'in stock' on the business tariff plans? Maybe they are prioritising early orders.

I got mine around 16:30, didn't bother with the restore. I just downloaded and logged into everything again. I find it a bit cleaner.

 

I've played about with it and compared to my note 9, only difference I've seen so far is the charging speed, refresh rate & camera. So not fully impressed with it so far but I'm sure it'll surprise me later.

 

Both phones were at around 50%, Note9 said 1h30 whereas the Ultra said 40min. Damn that's a fast charge time!

The camera zoom is unbelievable. Features are nice but I'll test this out fully tomorrow if the weather is nice.

The refresh rate, wow... the phone is fast but with it enabled, feels faster, smoother and clearer when scrolling.

 

One gripe I do have is with the fingerprint scanner. I feel it's too high up for the size of the screen. After a while you do get used to it.

 

I hope everyone who is still waiting for theirs gets it soon.

Still trying to figure out how it's letting me use my giffgaff sim on the ultra, anyone know? Thought it was only locked to EE

Thought I’d let everyone know I spoke to the upgrades department yesterday who were fantastic. Advised me if I was happy to change from 128gb grey to black I’d have it by tomorrow ! 

I was skeptical, but they emailed me updates and this morning I’ve received my DPD tracking number and it’ll arrive tomorrow 🙂 finally after a month of being messed about. 

oh, they also threw in a £30 credit of good will. Someone was feeling generous yesterday ! Good luck all
