Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

I seen someone ask about the phone being locked or unlocked as their non EE sim worked, mines worked too thought it was only locked to EE?.

That was me. Fully unlocked and also received the new update. Normally it takes EE longer as they have to approve all updates.

Same here? EE made a mistake or is it always like this? First time with EE and a locked phone.

I can’t work out how to post so have had to reply. 

 

I ordered a grey ultra on the 4th and have had the run around ever since. 

the store 100% assured me the phone would be delivered on release day. 

thats the only reason I ordered because my current phone is broken.  

 A month later and no updates at all, 150 tell me to ring the store, the store tell me to ring 150. 

upgrades told me they have black in stock and could swap the order but I have to go into the store to sort this, I pointed out that the store is closed understandably and 150 told me there’s nothing they can do until the stores open again, I can’t cancel the order and buy elsewhere, I cant swap to the black. 

one agent asked me to email him and hed sort it, I did and got nothing back. 

One guy told me he could help but then couldn’t

 

one guy said they had no ultras, one said they had black. 

one said he could swap it then tried and couldn’t. 

im completely lost. 

I know it’s a hard time but I’m a key worker and don’t have a working phone right now with little option to find one of my order can be sent or cancelled. 

it would just be nice to know what’s going on or have some options, customer services tell me something different each time I ring and I have no faith they’re been honest as each conversation contradicts the last. 

I’d just love to sort something out so I can get on with work, my power buttons missing and screens detached, I can’t repair my current phone right now and would have just gone for an iphone is I was told there would be so much of a delay. This virus wasn’t a problem when this process started and other have their phones. 

it feels like EE have sold more than they had and now can’t help, some people are getting extras, discounts, £30 credit. I’ve been offered nothing, hot no clue what’s happening or when, it feels like really poor service 

 

id order elsewhere where it’s in stock but don’t want to end up with two phones

Alot of people are the same, it's just awaiting game.

I understand that, and if my current device was fine I’d just sit it out and wait, I really can’t work without a phone and would take any device right now if anyone could change my order but they can’t change it at all, I’d take a black or a 20 plus, even an iphone.

So the handset finally arrived. There was a Otterbox Minute Premium Bundle (Case and screen protector) that I don't remember ordering..lol. Unless it was a claimed freebee at some point...

Not had a lot of time to play with the handset as it's been restoring all my apps and data from my old phone. Total pain in the backside that it appears to only let me do with when connected to Wi-Fi and my home Wi-Fi is 5mb at tops and it won't let me tether another phone.

Tip for anyone claiming the free buds as i believe there has been some issues with proof...Mines was validated in less than 10 min!

A copy of the order tracking link that was originally sent as a text. (I never received an order confirmation email) just open this link in 'Desktop view' and you should be able to capture the data from ordering to dispatching.


Anyone know how to go about trading in their old handset? I was told there would be a returns bag in the delivery which there wasn't.

My returns bag was sent to me last week before I had the phone lol. Thought bloody cheek EE!😂

The returns bag should arrive through the post then you have 14 days to decide if you want your new phone, or return your old one. If any questions ring 150.

I'm still waiting for my order s20 ultra grey which I ordered on 18/3 as an upgrade  by online chat text  service via my EE app which EE say qualifies as an online order. I've rang EE customer service and they have confirmed the order but Im still waiting for DPD to text me.
