Samsung s20 ultra order

I upgraded my phone on the 5th march in a we store for a pre order Samsung s20 ultra and have heard nothing at all since. My current phone battery is failing rapidly.

 

i know there is a pandemic going on but what’s annoying me is why haven’t I heard anything at all about my order

Carphone warehouse hasnt gone bust. They just closing their standalone stores.

I was also told that my S20 Ultra would be delivered on 13th March. I pre ordered it on 23rd February.

On 12th I rang EE, because I hadn't been contacted by DPD. I was told it had been delayed because of covid-19. I laughed and said don't be ridiculous. Well i argued for twenty minutes and hung up.

Annoyed? Livid! Lied to.

Then I got a text from EE saying I could track my new phone and gave the date of delivery as 24th-26th March.

I check every day and so far it hasn't changed. I'm not holding my breath.

I thought bit quick to collapse but its coming alot of company's business etc going to go through it but Samsung they got it spot on money grabbing !!!!!! That's at carphone warehouse Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

I've been reading this on and off as I ordered 2 handsets one on launch day which then had to be cancelled and redone on the 18th Feb for the Ultra 512GB and one on the 4th March for 128GB Ultra in Black. I am happy to say my 512GB arrived on the 10th March as I was promised and I called up on delivery day and EE still had it as an open sales order even though DPD had delivered it to me so it was a failing there .

 

With my 128GB Handset when I ordered this online the day was the 24th March , I like everyone else now am being told the end of this month is more likely , however I feel EE have set expectations in the wrong way . I think when they realised the number of pre orders they should of sent everyone a text advising that due to high demand they currently can't give an estimated delivery date but will keep us updated. I think that would of annoyed people yes but would of stopped us all getting annoyed over false promises , dates, COVID 19 etc. There is something to be learnt here and it happens every year with EE and I think they should take note of these forums to do better next time.

S20 ultra order page has no reference to being out of stock (both models) or any lead time for delivery. Hopefully this means they have taken delivery of a consignment and not an oversight.

Don't hold your breath! 

Samsung website is currently stating ships 4th April for the 128gb

@Brodders it says on the EE page they are out of stock and to sign up for email notification when back in stock.

Not on the mobile version I am looking at mate. Also says that 21 people have ordered in the last hour so could get crowded in here lol

Yeah it still let’s you order by selecting a plan lol but it does say sold out at top... bit misleading.
