I have pre ordered the fold z and had conflicting information from EE, such as the 18,21 September and we have no date so no one should be giving out a date is what I have been told.
Do we have a confirmed ee release date as to when I will get my product
Thanks

I phoned this morning to be told that everyone who preorders is told that I can take 7 days from the official launch day to receive your device. When I ordered, the guy on the phone told me I would receive it on Friday, maybe earlier. I booked the day off work on Friday too 😞

Hi,
I've previously been on this thread and pre ordered mine on the 4th. Still not heard anything after complaining 3 times.
Communication has been poor

Can you see if you can get this in writing, via a transcript potentially? Ultimately we do need some more information to hold them accountable for

@GazzehT I would challange purely on the basis that they don't know what the definition of 'pre order' means

@Ruben1008 I've got three transcripts showing how they had been deceitful. It's additional support for the complaint

Anyway you could DM me and email me them?

@Ruben1008 dm @ziggymon with evidence

I’ve resisted posting here for over a week.
1. EE CS are useless. They don’t know what they are talking about. Everyone should stop calling them and expecting anything but inaccurate information.
2. This is not the first time EE messed up the Fold launch. I pre-ordered the original Fold. Except it wasn’t a pre-order it was up on release day. It took 10 days to arrive with me. No communication, terrible customer service and despite talking with the complaints department they did nothing to compensate me. Just said sorry it’s out of our control.
3. There is every chance I believe of us getting phones this week. This is based on the fact that CS doesn’t know what’s going on and that Samsung might well provide stock sooner than expected.
So don’t give up!
I do believe however that EE should compensate everyone who pre-ordered and has not received this phone.

I think the biggest gripe is that we see how Samsung have handled the delay with their customers, being open and honest knowing they failed and owning up to it. Then we have EE who instead of realising, albeit not their own fault, have failed their customers. Worse than not offering any compensation for late orders they end up redefining what "pre-order" means. I called up today and was told that pre-orders are up to 7 days after release, perhaps EE marketing team should consider keeping a dictionary in the office.
I run a business. A little smaller than BT / EE admittedly but I know if my supplier fails me therefore leading me to fail my customer I would have to compensate the customer at the same time I would be looking to be compensated by the supplier. Which I am sure EE would have penalties in place in any contract with Samsung to sell their devices.
Again I would just be happy with some honesty.

One thing is clear, the sheer excitement I had for this phone when I pre-ordered it is dwindling fast. When it arrives it will be a relief rather than joy.
Thank you EE for spoiling that for me.
