Can someone help me please.
I was interested in upgrading my contract to the new Zlip 3 phone.
I have a sim only contract on EE but I have a Samsung S20 I bought my self last year.
The website doesn't deduct the £400 when I click I have an eligible phone...so I contacted the digital team, who first told me I couldn't upgrade because the last phone I bought with EE was a Huawei phone about 4 years ago on a different contract so am not eligable because I "own a Huawei" (I dont't...)
When I said I have a sim only contract, they said it doesn't matter.
When I asked for the terms and conditions of the offer so I could read them and clear things up, they couldn't provide any (indeed, if someone can show my on the EE website where the terms are that says it must be a device previously bought with EE, that would resolve my problem). After I questioned how they can say I don't qualify if they don't know the rules, they "spoke to a manager" and suddenly I was eligible.
I didn't go through with the offer they person gave me in the end, because it was worse than the one available on the website that I can't basket.
so I'm at a bit of a loss...
Any ideas? 😕

I have a colleague who works closely with the Samsung launches. I'm going to try and find out a bit more information about this offer.
I'll send you a message here once I have more information for you.

Thanks for your patience. I've heard back from my colleague.
For this promotion, they have confirmed that we are only accepting devices that have been bought directly from EE on contract.
