My mobile phone number has been the same for as long as I can remember, but recently, I noticed that a different number shows up through my SIM card as being my number (e.g. when I go to 'About phone', and look at the SIM's phone number. When I ring that number, it's a different person's number. I don't know why it's been somehow associated with my SIM? In the past, I've tried to manually alter my own number on my phone, but it always seems to default back to this other one after a while. How can I get rid of this other number, please?
