You don't! You could upgrade if you wish. These BB contracts don't just end, just the min. term expires. They are not fixed term contracts. After the min. term they just carry on at the non-discounted price on a rolling 14-days' notice basis until you explicitly migrate, cancel or upgrade.

If you ring the EE Customer Services Broadband Team you will be able to negotiate a new contract.
Have you had an email offering a new contract? You would normally get one around 3 months before the end of the contract.
