If you're in the UK, then putting credit on the phone will indeed allow you to use it.

All new PAYG SIMs need to be used in the UK, so you will either need to send that SIM back to the UK, or call C/S to arrange a lost/stolen replacement to be sent to your UK address. Then make sure that SIM is used in the UK before beng sent back to you.

Hi @3fab

What happens when you try to make a call? Or when someone calls you?

If you text BALANCE to 150, what does it report?

I am in Spain at the moment:

If I make a call to UK number : Voicemail saying "Call to this number are barred"

If I make a call to ESP : Voicemail saying "Call to this number are barred"

If I trie to reach this new ee number voicemail saying "The person you have called is not available"

If I try to sena txt to 150 .. Not delivered

But I just topped up 5 euro and plus I can see it in my EE Web account

Super confused..

Has this PAYG SIM been used in the UK previously?

If yes - does your phone show signal bars?

If no - that is your problem. All new PAYG SIMs need to be used in the UK first, before they will work abroad.

Really? the operator told me over the phone that as first timer after the to top up it would have automatically activated the card!

Seriously there is not other ways and I am without phone till I get back to UK?

nightmare
