Hi. I have upgraded my sons phone to a ‘good as new’ iPhone 12 Pro Max. He has gone to set it up today but looks like it still has an activation lock on it. We’ve googled this and it says the previous owner needs to be contacted to remove this from their iCloud. What do we do now?

Thanks Chris. That’s exactly what has happened. I was on the phone to EE yesterday for an hour. They are sending out another phone and taking back the one we have.

Hi Chris. Thank you for all your help. We have been onto EE and they are replacing the phone and taking that one back. There is nothing we can do with it. Not sure how this made it through the net to be honest.
