Hi there,
I was about to unplug my Sony Xperia L1 after it being charged. I noticed an unusual red light on top left corner and it is impossible to turn the phone on. Does someone know how to solve that mystery? Many thanks
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hold in the Power button and Vol up button together at the same time untill the phone vibrates then release.
It may take a long time for the buttons to be held pressed, maybe a minute or two so don't give up on it too soon.

Fully recharge the Phone and try again when it's charged.
If the Phone is full charged, unplugged from the charger and switched off the status light should briefly flash green with a quick press of the power button.

Thanks but no, it doesn't do any of that. It has been charged all night. When unplugged there is no light at all and it can't be switched on. It looks dead - no response.

I held it for 4 minutes and following your instructions I was expecting the vibrations but it never came hence why I pressed for so long. That said, out of nowhere the screen appeared and the phone is now back to normal. Problem solved, many thanks.

Glad it's sorted, might be worth also checking your charger is working as it should be as well.
