I have just bought a dongle from Argos. A D-Link with 6GB pre loaded. I have not been able to get a signal and assumed it was because I had to 'register' the sim card. However I have been unable to find out how to do this on the web site and trying to phone has been impossible.
Some advice would be appreciated.

Hi @Sdredim,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Your pay as you go SIM should be ready to use. What happens when you try to connect to the internet?
Thanks
James

@Sdredim : What model D-Link is it?
What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim?

You may not have a data connection but you can still send a text. Have you tried sending 1?

Hi @Sdredim
Thanks for coming back to us.
Do you have a phone you can try the SIM card in at all?
Where did you purchase the device?
Leanne.
