Questions about a new SIM I've just ordered

KingMouse

Hi,

I'm a PAYG customer and I've just bought a new phone via a third party. This phone takes a nano SIM and I only have one of the ancient, large SIMs dating back a decade or two.

I logged into My EE and ordered a new SIM but it didn't ask me if I wanted a new number or keep my old one. I would much prefer to keep this number so will I receive a SIM with my current number or a new one?

As a PAYG customer EE don't have my home address but the order form didn't ask me to say where I live. How can I add an address?

The order form didn't ask for payment details just said the cost would be taken from my next bill but I don't get a bill and I wasn't asked for payment details. WIll the cost be removed the next time I top up?

Yours in thorough confusion,

KM

After I last posted I received a text from 150 saying there was a problem with my order from 150 so I rang customer services.

Because I started with T Mobile, then Orange and finally EE I need a new EE SIM with a new number but they will transfer the current number to the new SIM when I receive it if I call them again using the new SIM

Apparently at some time in the past I had given EE my address but it has since changed.

Thank you very much for your help :)..

Did you order from your Account Settings / Replace your SIM of your MyEE?

That will get you a replacement SIM with the same no., plan & credit.

It asks me for my delivery address. Did it say "Order Physical SIM"?

The cost of £1.50 will be deducted from your PAYG credit when the SIM is dispatched. So you need it to be at least that now.

Yes.

Excellent, that's good to hear 🙂

Did it say "Order Physical SIM"?

Yes, I ordered a physical SIM.

It asks me for my delivery address

It didn't ask me... Unless I clicked through too fast but surely I wouldn't be able to do that if no address is known to EE. If I have entered my address in the past where can I check and change it if necessary?

When you clicked on "Order Physical SIM" it should've come up with a "Account holder details" page asking for Personal details & Delivery address.
