Looking to find a suitable EE SIM to install in a legacy GSM control system Eldis ESIM252.
This controller has a built-in radio transceiver operating in GSM
850/900/1800/1900 MHz bands
The manual notes 'The controller is NOT compatible with pure 3G SIM cards. Only 2G/GSM SIM cards and 3G SIM cards with 2G/GSM profile enabled are supported. For more details, please contact your GSM operator.'
I'm remote in Scotland and EE shows 2G coverage in my location so hope to use this technology until it gets phased out beyond 2025
Anyone know if the EE data only SIMS would retro and support 2G comms?

@EPonEE EE sims can support 2,3,4 and 5G so I’ll be very surprised if it didn’t work at all. SIM cards are backwards compatible with older network frequencies like 2G.
The device your are using is only 2G compatible which is why it states it cannot be a 3G only SIM card.
