I have made a flat above the garage in my home, it’s insulated with kingspan so even with a wifi extender the signal is pretty non existent in the flat although I now have wifi in the garden. I can’t use plug in extenders as the electrics are on a separate board from the house. Any suggestions?

@McLinto does your Wi-Fi repeater have socket on bottom of it ? If it does you could run a cable from that to another Wi-Fi repeater that will except an incoming Ethernet cable to give the 2nd repeater a internet connection that’s in the flat. Obviously this will depend on the layout of your home if this is possible.

Hi @McLinto ,
I suspect that if you have a single electricity meter to the property, Devolo powerline adapters are highly likely to work.
Can I use devolo products even if I have different electrical circuits in my house?
Yes, devolo products also work if you have multiple circuits (phases) in the house. You do not have to modify the mains supply, such as by installing a phase coupler.

You could test within the return period for online purchases, and return if they don't work.

Success! Devolo bought received and installed. I looked at some others (cheaper) that said they have to be on the same ring main, so stuck with your suggestion and Devolo works a treat in the garage which has its own fuse box, with a separate power cable off the house meter. Really appreciate your help.
Many thanks.

That's all it has of its own. It comes off the same meter & supply. You have single-phase anyway.
