Plusnet email stopped working on EE 4G Network

I have Plusnet Broadband and also EE 4G.

So my Plusnet email suddenly stops sending outgoing emails on EE 4G from yesterday afternoon.  If I change back to Plusnet Broadband, it goes through.  This happens on both Outlook 2007 on my laptop and on my Samsung Mobile phone.

I phoned EE and they checked me out for IP address being blacklisted and they said no.  I was then cut off and can't get back through 😞

Anybody else having this problem?  I have played around with port numbers to no avail.

So would that be Port 465 with SSL or TLS?

I do not have a STARTTLS option.

Try both if they are not combined in OL 2007.

And we have lift off. Port 465 and SSL has worked.

Thank you so much.  I have spoken with 2 people on the phone today and none of them was able to help me.

How likely is a problem like this to reoccur?

😀

It should never reoccur. It should not have occurred in the 1st place.

The only mystery remaining is how it could have worked yesterday but not today. It is impossible for Port 25 to have worked yesterday while connecting over EE network. So something must have changed. OL doesn't go around changing its settings.

Maybe prior to today you were only connecting over PN BB & only today used the EE network.

It wasn't that, I have been using EE4G since last Wednesday. All very odd. I've now made the changes on Outlook on the laptop and on the email client on my Mobile phone and all working so thank you very much, and for letting me know it should not reoccur! 😃Sent from my Galaxy
