My 2 year contract was up yesterday for my pixel 4 xl (managed to get one of them new fancy pixel 6 pros 💪)
Anyways, I want to unlock my 4xl to any network, however when I fill in the form (pretend I was clever enough to find the link to the form) I put my IMEI number in, it says this phone isn't recognised as being locked to EE)
But if I put a sim card in that's NOT EE, it doesn't work?
I'm aware EE states that the pixel phones are auto-magically unlocked but ive had no confirmation of this, nor does it seem like it has worked
Any help is appreciated 🙂

Where did you yourself get this device itself originally? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or from a 3rd-party reseller or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different.

It was a contract phone directly from EE

Hi @gaza1994,
If the phone wasn't unlocked, I would expect you to see a message asking you to unlock it when inserting another SIM. Is the other SIM definitely activated?
