Phone grid lock pattern

My son 6year old has put a new lock pattern and I can't open my Sony xa2 up tried to do a hard reset is there a easy way of getting my phone back

You need to type something for people to help you.

Hi @Willa2nd 

 

I'm not sure how they managed this as you need to activate the security settings, which needs a password to change and security settings. 

 

However if you don't know the pattern there is normally the option to use the backup security password/code. 

 

A factory reset is then your only option, then you need to enter the correct Google account credentials.

I've tried the holding down volume button and power off the same time just boots up phone then back to the pattern lock screen again does not come with the android guy with erase phone
