My router won't connect to the web, it has credit, I managed to speak to tech support who acknowledged there was a problem with their systems, but since then I've heard nothing. Any advice?

Credit is immaterial. You can't buy data from your credit. You need a PAYG pack or data add-on to use data. Do you?
What does texting AL to 150 from it fully report verbatim (it is free)?
