PAC transfer incomplete?

plaindrain
Explorer

Hoping the hive mind can advise. I took receipt of my new phone two days ago, having sorted out the PAC to port my old number during the purchasing process. Yesterday the old phone number transferred over, EE texted me to let

me know, and a text to 150 got a confirmation that I was the old number. A phone call to a friend was recognised as ‘me’. However… tonight I found out that texts to friends and family have been coming through to them as the number that was on the new SIM provided or, even more randomly as my iCloud email…?! Anyone got any suggestions as to what’s going on…? Thanks.

Hi, Chris, thanks for the welcome and the tip. I cycled it through on/off a few times last night but no joy, so thought I’d post a request here. As it turns out - I got in touch with EE via the FB site and got some great help from them so it’s just got sorted. Turns out (maybe?!) it was because there were several email options ticked in my iMessage send/receive - just ticking the old number now means I’m ‘me’ again! 😄👍🏻 Thanks again though 👍🏻

Hi @plaindrain

Welcome to the community.

I hope you're well and having a nice Friday.

Things like this can sometimes happen when a number is porting. If you your new phone off and back on it should push through any network updates and fix this.

Could you please give this a go and let me know if it works?

You can kind out more information about this on our How Do I Transfer My Number To EE page.

Thanks.
