I ordered a new 100Gb 'essential' data SIM yesterday on a 24 month contract. The order acknowledgement email received immediately after placing the order stated 100Gb, however the order confirmation/dispatch note received today says 50Gb.
This makes no sense whatsoever. The SIM hasn't yet been delivered - what should I do to confirm that this is a 100Gb plan? Obviously, on a 24 month contract, it's important this is correct from the outset.
Thanks for your help,
Richard

Hi @24x7x365
If you call customer services on 0800 317 720 they will be able to confirm with you what has been set up for you.
Thanks,
David.

Thanks David. I have called EE and they said something about needing to add “a double data sock”, whatever that is? They said it will say 50Gb, but will actually be 100Gb.
I am confused. I have ordered a 100Gb SIM on a 24 month contract, yet the subsequent emails says 50Gb, and EE CS are talking about some kind of (what I assume is a) work around?
None of this is very clear and transparent. I have all of the emails from EE, screenshots of the ordering screens and emails confirmations. I ordered 100Gb, but the product I am getting appears to be 50Gb (on the surface at least)
Why is this so hard?
If EE can’t give me a straight answer I will take this up with Which?/consumers society.
This all seems completely ridiculous to me. EE can’t offer one product, and then give you something completely different - it’s frankly illegal!
Am I missing something?
A quick search of this community indicated I am not the first customer to experience this issue.
Any advice or answers would be very much appreciated.

Hi @24x7x365
Thanks for coming to the community.
I am sorry to hear this.
Once you get the SIM and register for a My EE account, can you check what the plan shows as and also how much data is showing with your allowance information?
Thanks.
Leanne.
