Order tracking update

I have been waiting for more than 3 weeks for an iPhone 12 pro silver 128k. Until this morning, order tracking had shown expected delivery between 25 & 30/11. It has changed overnight to “awaiting confirmation".
Is this bad news?

I'm eight days in from my order of a 12 Pro Pacific Blue and just came off the phone to EE.

On Monday they told me that delivery estimate was 21 days; today it's 28 days.

I think the original estimate was 23 days - but TBH, I'm losing track!

The guy was v helpful but said he had never seen this scenario before and they had no further updates aside from 28 days right now.

From what I understand, the people who ordered earliest, and have not yet received phones, will get priority as stock arrives.

Not much help I guess but at least you should be nearer the front of the queue than me!

Hi @crimlaw ,

Best thing to do is make a quick call to 150 option 1 to go through to CS who should be able to assist with your query.

I've had a couple of experiences like this in the past and speaking with CS has always been the most effective way of getting confirmation on any account queries.

It can be anything to a bug in the system, to stock levels fluctuating with all that is going on currently.

Let me know how you get on and hope this helps.

Thanks for that advice Steve -

I'm a new EE customer, and don't have an ctive EE phone - would you know if there is a direct line for that department?

I do know that Apple apperas to have underestimated the uptake on the 12 Pro and are , by all acvounts, scavenging components from its iPad line to meet demand.

Factor in the COVID-19 effect and I guess delays are not that surprising, though the comms could be considerably better.

Cheers -

Chris

Hi @ChrisGlynn ,

There are two numbers you can call if you don't have an EE mobile to make the call from.

Free from a landline - 0800 956 6000

25p from a mobile - 07953 966 250

I think there's generally been a shortage to most Networks in the UK when it comes to all of Apple's newly launched products unfortuntely, so it is very much of a 'wait-and-see' scenario currently.

I do agree though, that the irony around a Communciation's Company not having the best Communications to its customers around the Orders that are placed is beggars belief, but it's always been this way.

Definitely give CS a call though, they've always been more than happy to help where they can!

All the best,

Steve

@_Steve-W - Appreciated. 👍

Ps. Just had an update to say 'Your order is on track' - that's it!
